Teen Birders: Wintering Birds at Broadmoor

Description

In December, the marshes, ponds, forests, and fields are alive with winter bird activity.

Scan the ponds for wintering ducks like Bufflehead, search the brushy edges for secretive Fox Sparrow and Rusty Blackbird, and listen for Winter Wren scolding from a tangle of roots near the water. This is a great chance to see how the bird life persists into the winter while connecting with other teen nature enthusiasts.
