Description
Get to know the Wild Turkey, one of New England's most iconic birds. Set out on a guided hike through the fall landscape to search for turkeys and the telltale signs of where they've been, like tracks, fallen feathers, and scratch marks. Along the way, learn about and observe turkey behavior, from their surprising social lives to how they roost, forage, and communicate.
After the walk, get cozy with a turkey-themed storybook reading and make a craft to take home. Leave with a whole new appreciation for the birds that strut around forests and cities alike.

Meet in front of the Nature Center. Wear weather-appropriate clothing, comfortable shoes. Bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and bug repellent. Expect to walk a manageable distance along wooded trails.
