Description
As dusk settles over the sanctuary, a whole new cast of characters takes the stage. Start your evening inside the Nature Center with a close-up look at real owl wings, skulls, talons, and feathers, learning about the remarkable adaptations that make these birds master hunters in the dark.
Then, head outside for a gentle evening hike through fields and forests, listening and watching for signs of resident Eastern Screech-owls, Barred Owls, and Great Horned Owls. You'll discover how they find prey, communicate under cover of darkness, and play their essential role in the nighttime ecosystem.

Meet in front of the Nature Center. Wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes. Bring a water bottle and bug spray. A flashlight with a red-light setting is welcome but not required. Expect to walk along paved paths as well as dirt and wooded trails in low light.
