Teen Birders: Fall Migration on the Coast

Description

Parker River National Wildlife Refuge is one of the Northeast's premier birding hotspots, hosting nearly 300 bird species that stop by on its beaches, and tidal marshes.

Experience the excitement of fall migration by scanning the wetlands for waterfowl like Northern Shoveler, searching the coastline for shorebirds like Long-billed Dowitcher, and watching the skies for Broad-winged Hawks and other raptors riding southbound thermals. Migrating songbirds like Black-throated Blue Warbler round out what promises to be an unforgettable day of birding with fellow teen nature enthusiasts at one of the region's finest coastal refuges.
