Description
Fall is peak season for migrating raptors, and from the top of the drumlin, the view is spectacular. Start with a close-up encounter with one of Drumlin Farm's wildlife ambassador hawks, learning to read the details and behaviors that makes each species special.
Then, set out on a guided hike up the drumlin to scan the skies for migrating hawks, falcons, and eagles riding thermals south for the winter. A naturalist helps participants identify raptors by silhouette, size, and flight style along the way. Round out the adventure with a flying bird craft to take home as a keepsake from your sky-high afternoon.
