Description
There's so much more to bats than their spooky reputation! There are nine species of bats in Massachusetts, five of which are endangered, including the elusive Northern Long-eared Bat. The mixed forests and open meadows of Brewster's Woods Wildlife Sanctuary create the perfect spots to see bats as they emerge at dusk to hunt.
Learn about how these nocturnal hunters communicate, why these special creatures matter, and how to support them in your own neighborhood. Using a special piece of technology created by Wildlife Acoustics, we will be able to pick up their ultrasonic calls and accurately identify the species around us.
