The Birds Next Door: Meet Your Backyard Birds

Description

There are so many cool birds in your own backyard if you know where to look! Find out what they're up to in the winter, starting with a close encounter with one of Drumlin Farm's wildlife ambassador birds. Get introduced to their unique behaviors, calls, favorite foods, and how they brave the coldest months.

From there, take a guided walk, putting your new knowledge to work as you learn to identify local birds by sight and sound. After exploring outdoors, head inside for a craft session where everyone will build a bird feeder from recycled materials to bring home—a small but meaningful step toward supporting birds in your own neighborhood.
