Description
Calling all owl lovers: get immersed in the world of these remarkable raptors with a whole day of winter activities!
Get an up-close look at real owls during scheduled animal encounters with our very own wildlife ambassadors. Hear from our naturalists about the different kinds of owls that hunt in Broadmoor's fields and woods, examine real specimens, and learn about the adaptations that help them thrive in the winter.
Between activities, get creative with owl-themed crafts or warm up around the outdoor firepits for s'mores. Head out on the trails to explore the peaceful environs at your own pace, then come inside to get cozy with a warm drink.
Come at any time and stay as long as you'd like. Whether you're an avid birder, an owl enthusiast, or simply looking for a memorable winter adventure, you'll find plenty to 'hoot' about.
As an addition, venture into the wild with an evening owl prowl. Walk through the woods and listen for the calls of Barred, Great-horned, and Eastern Screech-owls emerging for their evening hunts. Registration for this program is separate.
