Description
Early fall is the peak time to watch hawks in the wild as these powerful birds make their way south for the winter. Get the full hawk experience, starting with a visit from one of our wildlife ambassador hawks as you get to see them up close and find out what makes these birds such remarkable hunters.
A naturalist will teach you how to tell your Red-tailed Hawks from your Sharp-shinned Hawks by size, silhouette, and flight style, skills that will come in handy every fall from here on out. Then, head out on a guided walk around the sanctuary in search of migrating raptors in action as they soar overhead. Finish the afternoon with a flying bird craft to take home, rounding out this sky-high adventure.
