How and why do some animals blend into the background? Learn all about the animals who use camouflage, one of nature's most effective survival strategies. Find out how different species use color, pattern, and texture to disappear into their surroundings, then try out camouflage techniques through a hands-on craft. Afterward, go on a guided walk through the sanctuary in search of camouflaged animals hiding in plain sight.

Meet in front of the Nature Center. Wear weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes. Bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and bug spray. Expect to walk along paved paths as well as dirt and wooded trails.
