Description
Broadmoor's wetlands are shaped in large part by a very fuzzy engineer—the beaver. Explore the sanctuary for active and abandoned beaver lodges, search for signs like chewed stumps and dams, and learn how a single beaver family can transform an entire landscape. Keep watch for the animals themselves as they swim through the marsh and fell branches for their dams. You'll gain a deeper appreciation for one of Massachusetts' most important (and adorable) native species.
