Description
Ready for a night out that's a little wild? Join us for an after-hours hike through moonlit fields and forest trails as we search for owls under the stars.
We'll kick things off outside the visitor center and get familiar with the behaviors and adaptations that make these mammalian hunters perfectly built for life in the dark. Get a demonstration of a special piece of recording equipment that we will use on our walk to detect and decipher bat calls and identify who's flapping around overhead. Then, we'll head into the woods to listen and look for some of our local nighttime legends: Big Brown, Eastern Red and Hoary Bats.
After the hike, we'll head over to Jack's Abby Brewery to socialize and unwind over a well-earned pint. Come for the bats, stay for the ales.
