Description
Discover one of nature's most amazing aerial performers—the American Woodcock! In early spring, these birds make their way to field edges to court, filling the last hours of daylight with spectacular displays in the sky. Listen for their unusual call and watch as they rocket up 100 feet or more and zigzag back to earth. Take a guided stroll around the sanctuary as we try to catch a glimpse of their performance. Along the way, we'll keep our eyes and ears open for other creatures like beavers, owls, and other nighttime neighbors.
