A Nature Year at Boston Nature Center: Winter (3 Months)

Description

Immerse yourself in a winter of local natural history. With a skilled Mass Audubon naturalist as your guide, experience the cycle of the seasons at the Boston Nature Center Wildlife Sanctuary in Mattapan and gain extensive natural history knowledge-all while receiving the many benefits of spending time outdoors. Each month, you will focus on a special topic, natural community, or seasonal phenomenon. As the temperatures drop, explore winter birding at Squantum Point Park, wildlife tracking and winter tree identification.

Make the most of your relationship with nature-join today.

We will meet the 2nd Saturday of each month, December 2025 - February 2026.

Here is what we have planned. There might be an occasional change in timing or topic depending on what nature provides.

December 13, 8am-10am: Winter Birding (Squantum Point Park)

January 10, 10am-noon: Wildlife Tracking

February 14, 10am-noon: Winter Tree ID
