Description
Search for fall birds and seasonal visitors at Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge in Concord. Keep an eye out for ducks, rails, bitterns, Bald Eagles, warblers, and vireos as you explore this birding hotspot. Target species may include Virginia Rail, American Pipit, White-crowned Sparrow, and Rusty Blackbird.
The 2-mile Dike Trail offers flat, dirt paths and sweeping views-perfect for spotting birds in action. Great Meadows delivers exciting sightings in every season.

We will park in the lot off of Monsen Rd. in Concord (the larger lot at the end of the road, not the smaller one near the bathrooms). You will receive an email closer to the walk date with more information as well. Bring or apply bug spray and sunblock at home and bring a water bottle. Dress warmly and bring binoculars!
