Description
Some of the most useful plants of early spring are often the ones growing through the cracks in your sidewalk.
Learn to harvest and transform flowers, leaves, roots, bark, and berries into nourishing teas, starting with common finds like broadleaf and narrowleaf plantain, dandelion, and chickweed. You will explore the difference between an infusion and a decoction, while learning their history and identifying features of plants you can find in any Boston neighborhood.
Many of the herbs come freshly harvested from the Boston Food Forest and the Clark-Cooper Community Garden, bringing the flavor of our own community into each cup.
To finish, you will brew and taste a variety of blends and savor their comforting, restorative qualities.
