Description
Spring arrives in Massachusetts long before it quite feels like it. Walk the Boston Nature Center trails in early March and you will find buds swelling on Red Maples, Skunk Cabbage pushing up through the mud, and Red-winged Blackbirds claiming territory in the marsh.
Learn how to spot the shifts in animal behavior and plant growth that most people walk right past while picking up ways to explore, enjoy, support, and protect nature close to home this spring.
Come listen to the first bird songs of the season and watch the landscape start to wake up.

What To Expect
The full program takes place outdoors on the sanctuary trails, which are flat and easy to walk or navigate with a mobility device. Early March conditions can leave the surfaces muddy or icy. In the event of severe weather conditions, the program may be cancelled or postponed.
More details on what to bring and expect will be emailed to you ahead of the program.
