A Nature Year at Boston Nature Center: Spring

Description

Experience local spring natural history phenomena over three Saturday sessions with a skilled Mass Audubon naturalist as your guide. You will start with maple sugaring at the Boston Nature Center, learning the secrets of the sap to syrup process. Then visit the vernal pools at Stony Brook Reservation, finding out who is taking advantage of these ephemeral bodies of water. The series closes with spring bird migration, revealing the science and wonder behind each seasonal shift.

Sessions begin indoors with a brief introduction before heading outside for at least 90 minutes of active exploration. Along the way, you will build real natural history knowledge, meet a community of curious adults, and deepen your connection to nature right outside your door.
