Description
Owls are all around Boston, but most people never notice them. Spend an afternoon getting to know your neighborhood owls at this station-based festival, where you can dissect owl pellets to find out what they eat and handle feathers and skulls up close.
Follow guided walks and take part in self-guided activities that catch your interest. By the end, you'll learn where to look for owls near home, what puts them at risk, and what you can do to support these captivating birds.

What To Expect
This is a drop-in festival, with stations and guided walks running throughout the afternoon both indoors and outside on the trails. If you take a guided walk, expect to travel up to a mile on flat, even trail.
The Boston Nature Center trails are fully accessible, though surfaces may be slippery from snow or ice at this time of year. In the event of severe weather conditions, the program may be cancelled or postponed.
More details on what to bring and expect will be emailed to you ahead of the program.
