Description
Leverett Pond and Jamaica Pond are home to a variety of visiting winter ducks, accessible via a charming 2.2-mile loop through Jamaica Plain. Walk from Leverett to Jamaica Pond with a Boston Nature Center guide, scanning the water for diving ducks like Bufflehead, Hooded Merganser, and Ring-necked Duck alongside any surprise visitors that have settled in for the winter.
The route is flat and accessible, with one small hill as the path transitions between the two ponds. All experience levels are welcome.
