A Nature Year at Boston Nature Center: Winter (3 Months)
Description
Embrace a full view of local winter natural history phenomena over three Saturday sessions with a skilled Mass Audubon naturalist. You'll take an in-depth look at winter birding at Squantum Point Park in Quincy, then tree botany and animal tracking at the Boston Nature Center, revealing the science and wonder behind each seasonal shift.
Sessions begin indoors with a brief introduction before heading outside for at least 90 minutes of active exploration across the trails and habitats. Along the way, you'll build tangible natural history knowledge, connect with a community of curious adults, and deepen your relationship with the nature right outside your door.

Instructions
Participants will travel mainly on trails and boardwalks through a variety of habitats. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear. Ample parking, bathrooms, and a water bottle filling station available at Boston Nature Center.
Note: The December 5 session takes place at Squantum Point Park in Quincy. Parking and meeting details for that session will be provided separately.
