Eagles, Water Birds, & More Along the Neponset River

Description

The Neponset River corridor packs a remarkable variety of habitats into a compact stretch of Milton shoreline, including marshes, woodlands, and open waterfront that attract an equally varied cast of birds in fall. On this 2-mile walk, a Boston Nature Center naturalist will help you identify resident species and seasonal visitors by sight and sound, with Bald Eagles patrolling the river frequently.

The route is mostly flat and paved, with a few gentle inclines and some unpaved stretches near the landing. All experience levels are welcome.
