Description
Small in size but big on birds, Squantum Point Park is one of the top eBird hotspots in the Quincy area—and for good reason. Its mix of coastal habitats draws an impressive variety of resident and migratory species, including some of the season's first shorebird arrivals in late summer, like American Oystercatchers, Laughing Gulls, and Great Egrets.
Take a relaxed walk along the 0.6-mile paved loop with a Boston Nature Center naturalist, with optional flat, unpaved side trails for those who want to explore further. All experience levels are welcome, with many benefits for those looking to get comfortable birding along the coast.

Instructions
Park at the left side entrance of the large parking lot off Morra Haul Rd. When you drive in, go straight and all the way to the left—it is a very large lot. Do not be concerned if parts of the lot are closed with orange cones, as the police frequently use the space for training exercises. Sunscreen and bug spray recommended. Bring a water bottle.
