Description
Just a short distance from the bustle of the city, Allandale Woods offers 1.6 miles of peaceful trail through Boston's second-largest unfragmented woodland. On this guided bird walk, a Boston Nature Center naturalist will lead you through forests, wetlands, and quiet ponds, listening for the songs and calls of birds like ruby throated humming birds and black and white warblers tucked among the trees and cattails.
The trail is unpaved and gently rolling, with a few small inclines that add just a touch of adventure to an otherwise relaxed morning. This program is offered in partnership with Urban Wilds, and all experience levels are welcome.
