Description
Step outside and discover the wild world hiding in plain sight. This urban birding experience invites you to slow down, tune in, and see your city through entirely new eyes.
Wind your way along the trails and explore a series of educational stations, each designed to deepen your connection with the birds all around you. Learn to identify species by their songs alone at the birding by ear station, discover what feathered visitors are drawn to your own backyard at our bird-feeder birding stop, venture out on a guided bird hike, or settle in at our birding in place station and see just how much wildlife passes through a single spot when you take the time to watch.
Drop in friendly. Once you are registered you can come and go as you please!
Scheduled guided birding:
Meet at the front of the nature center for a Guided Bird Walk along our trails from 8:00-10:00 am.
Or gather in the field anytime between 11:00 am-1:00 pm for Birding in Place. We will provide binoculars and scopes on tripods as well a bench for sitting, and will focus on birding within a 25 foot radius circle.
