Description
Winter reveals secrets that summer hides. While some animals curl up to sleep through the cold, countless others stay active—and the snow becomes their canvas, recording every footstep, leap, and hunt.
At BNC, you'll learn to read these frozen stories. We'll explore the distinctive track and trail patterns left by local wildlife, from the bounding prints of rabbits to the delicate trails of mice and the purposeful tracks of foxes and coyotes.
Then it's your turn to become a wildlife detective. You'll venture onto the trails to spot fresh signs, interpret what you find, and document your discoveries through nature journaling. Each track tells a story—where was this animal going? What was it doing? What happened here?
By the end, you'll see winter landscapes differently. Every snowy morning becomes an opportunity to witness the hidden lives of the creatures sharing our woods.
Come unlock the mysteries written in snow and mud—the wildlife is waiting to share their secrets.
