Woodcock Watch

Description

Experience the magic of dusk as you search for the elusive American Woodcock along the wooded trails of the BNC. During this special time of year, you'll witness their legendary aerial displays as they perform their spectacular courtship flights overhead.

As you walk through the forest, you'll learn about woodcock habits, preferences, and their important role in the woodland ecosystem. Be ready to watch, wait, and explore the nature center's trails as darkness falls and these remarkable birds take to the sky.
