Feeding Backyard Birds

Description

When winter strips the landscape bare, your backyard becomes a vital haven, and a front-row seat to nature's most colorful survivors.

Discover the secrets to transforming your yard into a bird magnet. Our educator will show you which feeders work best, what foods different species crave, and how to identify the chickadees, cardinals, woodpeckers, and finches that brighten the coldest days. You'll learn why your feeders do more than just attract beautiful visitors, they provide critical support that helps birds thrive through harsh weather.

Watch the action unfold at Trailside's bustling feeders as we discuss what draws certain species and how their behaviors reveal their needs. By the end, you'll have the knowledge to create your own backyard bird sanctuary.

Turn your winter mornings into a daily dose of color, movement, and song, your feathered neighbors are waiting.
