Early Morning Owl Prowl

Description

The forest awakens before you do. In those precious pre-dawn hours, owls rule the Blue Hills, hunting, calling, and claiming their territories in the darkness.

We'll begin with an introduction to the species that haunt these woods, learning their distinctive calls and hunting habits. Then, as darkness still holds, we'll venture onto the trails in search of these elusive predators. The winter air amplifies every sound, a distant hoot, the rustle of wings, perhaps even the shadow of a silent hunter gliding overhead.

There's nothing quite like hearing a Great Horned Owl's deep call echo through frozen trees, knowing you're witnessing a world most people sleep through.

Afterward, warm up with hot drinks and treats while meeting some of the museum's resident owls up close. See the piercing eyes, specialized feathers, and powerful talons that make these birds such masterful night hunters.

Start your year with an adventure most never experience, the Blue Hills by owl-light.
