Winter Hike on the Hill

Description

Winter transforms the Blue Hills into a world of stark beauty and hidden activity. Far from dormant, these forests pulse with life, you just need to know where to look.

Our expert educator will guide you through this seasonal landscape, revealing the resilient birds and mammals that navigate the cold. Fresh tracks in the snow tell stories of nighttime hunts and daily survival. Deciduous trees stand bare in their winter rest while evergreens provide dramatic contrast against the pale winter sky, offering crucial shelter to wildlife.

When snow conditions allow, we'll venture deeper into this winter wonderland on snowshoes, experiencing the quiet crunch of powder and accessing trails unreachable on foot. You'll discover how the forest adapts, survives, and even thrives during the season most people stay inside.

Bundle up and see the Blue Hills as you've never experienced them, winter's beauty is best appreciated from within it.
