Colors of Nature

Description

Take a closer look at the vibrant world around you on this guided walk through the Blue Hills. Explore questions like: What makes a goldfinch gold? What gives the Blue Hills their name? Discover the science and wonder behind the colors in birds, rocks, leaves, and beyond. This walk invites all ages to slow down, observe, and appreciate the rich palette nature paints each fall.

Instructions

Participants will meet outside, in front of the Trailside Museum, located at Blue Hills Trailside Museum, 1904 Canton Ave, Milton, MA 02186. We will learn on the trail.

Dress appropriately for the weather and prepare for a moderate hike. Trails are medium grade and can have parts that are steeper or have uneven terrain. Binoculars are recommended.

Museum admission is included in the program fee. Participants are welcome to explore the museum after the program has ended.
