Description
Beat the summer heat while discovering how wildlife does the same! Start with hands-on activities at the picnic tables to learn the clever ways animals stay cool, from burrowing and basking to finding shade and water. Then head out on a short guided hike to look for birds, mammals, and insects using these survival strategies in the wild. A perfect summer adventure for curious nature lovers of all ages.

Please meet at the picnic tables next to the fox exhibit at the start of the program, located at Blue Hills Trailside Museum, 1904 Canton Ave, Milton, MA 02186. The full program will take place outside but bathrooms are located inside the museum.
Keeping in mind the weather, be sure to bring water, sunscreen, and comfortable walking shoes. We will go on a 0.75 mile loop that include some sections with uneven terrain. All children must be accompanied by an adult for the entire duration of the program.
Museum admission is included in the program fee. Participants are welcome to explore the museum after the program has ended.
