Family Nature Journal Club

Description

Nature journaling is not about making perfect art. It's about slowing down, looking closely, and putting what you notice on the page. This family program teaches the foundational principles of nature journaling and basic art techniques through the lens of the natural world, with access to Blue Hills Trailside Museum's education animals and biofacts—real animal specimens like feathers, bones, and talons—as subjects for close study.

Families work together through observational drawing exercises, guided by environmental educators and artists who believe that everyone has something new to discover when they put a pencil to paper. All levels of artistic experience are welcome, and supplies are provided.
