A Nature Year at Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary - Winter Months Only

Immerse yourself in a winter of local natural history. With a skilled Mass Audubon naturalist as your guide, experience the cycle of the seasons at Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary in Easthampton and gain extensive natural history knowledge-all while receiving the many benefits of spending time outdoors. Each month, you will focus on a special topic, natural community, or seasonal phenomenon. As the temperatures drop, explore winter birds at your feeders, the winter woods, tracks and tunnels, and raptors and other birds in the Arcadia meadows.

3 sessions, 2 hours each
Third Wednesday of each month, December 2025-February 2026.
Here is what we have planned. There might be an occasional change in timing or topic depending on what nature provides.
December 17, 9:30 to 11:30 am: Winter Birds and Feeders
January 21, 9:30 to 11:30 am: Winter Woods, Tracks and Tunnels
February 18, 9:30 to 11:30 am: Winter Raptors and Other Birds in the Arcadia Meadows
We will usually start inside with an introduction and then head out for our adventure in the field which will be at least 90 minutes outside. We'll travel mainly on trails and boardwalks, actively exploring and experiencing various habitats and sanctuary spots.
Register for the winter, 3 monthly sessions - December, January, and February, for $54/members, $60/nonmembers
