Description
As summer comes to an end, some perennial wildflowers have morphed into bright berries. We may see the beautiful but poisonous baneberry, also called doll's eyes for its white berries with purple "eyes." As we walk along the trail bordering the Mill River, we'll search for the tiny flowers or seeds of wild rice. In addition, late summer always brings a profusion of different species of purple and white asters and yellow goldenrods.
