Bluebirds: Birds and Box Making

Bluebirds are abundant in Massachusetts fields and even in backyards, given the right habitat. This is all thanks to the efforts of the many people who have built and put up bluebird boxes to take the place of diminishing natural cavities. Join us for an indoor presentation on the natural history of bluebirds, conservation efforts, and what you can do to help keep the population strong, including making and finding the proper locations for nest boxes. All materials will be provided, however, if you do have a screw gun, please bring it. We hope to also see the real thing, by going out to the accessible trail by the meadow to look for bluebirds!
