A Nature Year at Arcadia: Spring

Description

Three sessions, three defining chapters of spring, one series that covers them all.

March opens at dusk with American Woodcocks and their spiraling courtship flights. April brings us to the vernal pools, where Wood Frogs and salamanders gather to breed in water that will be gone by summer, May closes with exploring songbird migration at its peak, a favorite for Massachusetts bird lovers.

Led by our skilled naturalists, each session begins inside with a short introduction before spending about 90 minutes actively exploring the sanctuary trails and habitats. Embrace the local natural history of spring in this seasonal deep dive.
