Description
As the afternoon light softens over Arcadia Marsh and the Oxbow, the wetlands come alive. Explore the quiet waters of Arcadia Marsh, where the Mill River meets the historic 1840 Oxbow, one of the most wildlife-rich habitats in the Connecticut River valley.
Belted Kingfishers, Great Blue Herons, muskrats, beavers, and other wetland species are all possible sightings as the day winds down. A skilled naturalist will guide you in basic paddling techniques while sharing the ecological significance of the forest wetlands around them.
