Hawk Migration Watch at Blueberry Hill

Description

September is the single best time to watch raptors move south, and Blueberry Hill in Granville is one of the premier hawk-watching sites in the region. When conditions are right—winds under 20 mph from the northwest or northeast—the hilltop can deliver kettles of hawks spiraling skyward in impressive numbers before pushing south.

Our naturalist will guide you in identifying different hawk species, eagles, vultures, and ravens moving through, along with any migrating warblers in the area.

You'll learn not only about their natural histories, but also about how their current lives intersect with people, including the movement behind Mass Audubon's Rescue Raptors efforts.

Checking registration status.
