Birding in Place

Description

Surprisingly, the Arcadia parking lot is an often-overlooked hotspot of bird activity at the sanctuary. Positioned between a woodland edge on one side and an open field on the other, it draws an unusual mix of forest and open-country species. Plus, the fruit and berry trees lining the lot make summer and early fall particularly productive. No need to travel far for rewarding birding at Arcadia—just grab a chair and look up!

Settle into a comfortable spot with binoculars for this relaxed session of observation with our skilled naturalist, watching birds feed, call, and interact. Ideal for those with mobility challenges as well as those looking for a more restful birding experience. All birding levels are welcome!
