Description
Fireflies don't just glow for decoration—every flash is a signal, conversation, or announcement. This family evening program at Arcadia unpacks the science behind the light show while giving kids the chance to experience it up close.
Before the sun goes down, families will make a glow-in-the-dark firefly jar craft, play an interactive firefly game, and learn how to identify the different firefly species active in the area. When darkness falls, the group will head out to the fields and forest to search for fireflies and practice catch-and-release with nets. Watch their summer light show unfold with a newfound appreciation for these glowing bugs.
