Camp and hike through the pristine beauty of this magnificent area and explore the shores of New England's largest body of freshwater, Lake Champlain. Begin the trip by taking in breathtaking views from high atop Vermont's Green Mountains and discover woodlands, wetlands, and a landscape shaped by glaciers thousands of years ago. Next we'll spend a couple of exciting days on Lake Champlain, exploring its unique freshwater ecology while paddling and camping along local islands. A refreshing dip at the end of a hot day and evenings around the campfire promise great times on this tremendous trek.
Wildwood Teen Adventure Trips immerse teens in the natural wonders of some of the Northeast's most beautiful areas. While all trips are focused on developing a love of the natural world, each trip takes a unique approach. Our wide variety of trips provides options for many interests and any level of outdoor experience.
After half a day of group-building and orientation at Wildwood, campers and trip leaders travel to destinations throughout the American Northeast. Along the way, they participate in a variety of outdoor adventures, learn the basics of Leave No Trace camping and trekking, and meet with conservation professionals to participate in hands on environmental study or service.
Groups are co-ed, with two leaders and between six and ten teens. Participants practice hands-on skills in conservation science, outdoor living, Leave No Trace and develop knowledge of the region's natural history.
Wildwood Teen Adventure Trips are recommended for teens entering grades 9-12. For more details on trip itineraries and activities please contact the Wildwood Teen Program Coordinator at 603-899-5589
