This guided kayak excursion is a wonderful opportunity to learn about some of Cape Cod Bay's most fasinating places: the remote cottage colony, the expansive dunes, the massive Great Marsh. The tour will also explore the extensive tidal creeks of the harbor as Mass Audubon naturalists point out shorebirds, opsrey, horseshoe crabs, and other creatures of the Marsh. This trip is intended for those with previous kayaking experience.

Instructions and Directions:

Pre-registration is required. Previous (recent) paddling experience and good swimming ability are required. The kayak trip leader reserves the right to deny further participation to paddlers who do not demonstrate adequate paddling ability. Directions to the meeting place will be given upon registration.

This program is meeting outdoors. Masks are optional when outside. If you need to enter a Mass Audubon building for any reason (i.e. using restrooms or filling a water bottle) you are required to wear a mask.

Please arrive 10 minutes in advance of the start of the program. Note that the ending time for kayak trips is approximate. We make every effort to finish the trip by the ending time listed but because we are dealing with wind, tide and differing degrees of experience on the part of the participants, there is always the possibility that the trip will run longer than anticipated. For this reason, we suggest that you not count on the trip ending at the time listed and plan accordingly.

COVID Guidelines: This program is meeting outdoors. Masks are optional when outside.

Participants may choose among available single and tandem kayaks or bring their own kayak. All equipment is provided; all participants must wear life jackets. We recommend that you bring sunscreen, windbreaker, hat, and drinking water. There are no facilities, such as restrooms or water fountains, at the meeting places.

Please note our cancellation policy: In order to receive a refund, you must notify us of your cancellation at least 7 days before the program begins. If we cancel the program, you will receive a full refund. We reserve the right to change programs, schedules, and instructors, and to cancel programs due to low enrollment or unfavorable weather.

Registration is required.
