From historical boat building on the North River to the salt marshes of Duxbury bay, the South coast of Massachusetts is home to a rich history and diverse set of habitats. Learn about the habitats and natural systems that occur where the land meets the water and their importance to wildlife and combating climate change. Kayaks provide a great way to explore remote and private areas that are inaccessible by foot or larger boats. While we will spend the majority of the time paddling on the water, each day includes stops to get out of the kayak and explore these habitats. Strong paddling skills and the ability to swim are required; kayaks are provided.

*Please note: the hours listed on the schedule may vary from the sample schedule in the field school brochure and are subject to change based on tides, staff, optimal wildlife sightings, and other variables.
