Birds are a wonderful vehicle to witnessing and understanding phenology, which is the study of cyclic and seasonal natural phenomena. This is especially helpful in relation to climate and plant and animal life. We will appreciate how patterns in weather, climate, seasonal changes, and shifting habitats influence what particular birds are present in some of our favorite birding destinations.

Instructions and Directions:

Meet in the parking lot at Daniel Webster Wildlife Sanctuary, at the end of Winslow Cemetery Road (off Webster Street) in Marshfield.

Bring binoculars if you have them; we will have extras to share. Program will take place entirely outdoors; please come prepared for a walk and wear sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate layers.

Registration is required.
