Bats can eat up to 1,200 mosquitoes an hour and produce one of the world's richest fertilizers. However, these amazing mammals are still often misunderstood and underappreciated by many. This online program will introduce you to the seven species of bats that call Massachusetts home, along with research projects aimed at reducing the risks to bats from wind turbines and white nose syndrome. You'll learn more about these captivating fliers and watch an acoustic bat survey demonstration, performed live if weather conditions comply.
