Go crazy for birds on Mass Audubon's biggest birding day of the year! Bird-a-thon celebrates nature and raises funds that provide essential year-round support for Mass Audubon's conservation, nature education, and advocacy.

Whether you are an official strategic birding team member for Bird-a-thon, or you just want to see some great birds with friendly North Shore guides at the height of spring migration, this is a very special occasion, and all levels of birders are welcome. Five hours of morning birding will expose you to the great variety of species, colors, and songs of neotropical migrants as they refuel in the midst of their amazing annual flight to their breeding grounds.

Instructions and Directions:

To assure efficiency and access during Bird-a-thon, we ask all travel together in Mass Audubon vans, not in personal vehicles. All passengers and drivers must wear a mask while inside Mass Audubon vehicles.

Meet at Joppa Flats. Dress for the weather and terrain, protect yourself from the sun and biting insects, and bring binoculars, a field guide, bottled water, snacks, and a scope if you have one.

Mass Audubon Cancellation Policy: If you wish to withdraw less than seven days prior to the program, refunds cannot be issued. If we cancel the program, you will be refunded in full.
