Nature Poetry Readings

Gather for a poetry reading featuring local writers that explore our complex and intimate relationship with the natural world, nature as solace and nourishment, and environments under threat from habitat loss and climate change. In the spirit of eco-poetry, these are poems that comfort, but also that urge and awaken, emphasizing the human-nature connection. After the poets share their works, there will be time for comments and questions. We will meet indoors and may head outside if conditions permit.

Kicking off Magazine Beach Park Poetry Week, we look forward to hosting the following poets representing the New England Poetry Club: DeWitt Henry, Angela Patten, and Anthony DiPietro. Enjoy nature-based poetry activities, including poetry writing and nature journaling, at the Nature Center during open hours the whole week!
