Beginning its 24th year in September, Wednesday Morning Birding gives birders of all skill levels excellent exposure to the hot spots in one of the most productive birding areas in the country. Each Wednesday throughout the year (except July), we'll focus our field trip on the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, Plum Island, the Merrimack River estuary, and other locations around Essex County.
Since we like to go where we'll find the most exciting birds, we'll explore Cape Ann on these Wednesdays: November 20, December 11, January 15, February 12, and March 11.
Please note that there will be no Wednesday Morning Birding on December 25, for the Christmas holiday, or on January 1, for New Year's Day, when we instead have our annual New Year's Madness program. However, we will be holding Wednesday Morning Birding on Thursday, January 2, for one time only!
Preregistration is not necessary. Four-trip special: $42 members, $51 nonmembers. Trips need not be consecutive for special price. Please call or email to sign up for the Wednesday Morning Birding email list.
Meet at Gloucester Crossing shopping center on Rt. 128 in Gloucester, in the middle of the lot in front of Marshalls. Please wear weather-appropriate clothes and sturdy footwear, and bring binoculars, spotting scopes, and snacks or lunch.
