For migrating birds Mount Auburn Cemetery 'appears as a green oasis' in an urban landscape, making it one of the best places to observe migrating birds in Massachusetts! Its many large trees are an inviting place for birds to rest and refuel. More than 30 varieties of wood-warbler have been seen at Mt. Auburn, as well as various thrushes, kinglets, vireos and other songbirds.
